Coastal Bend Blood Center is kicking off the 21st Annual Boots & Badges Blood Drive Competition and the Coastal Bend is invited to join in on the friendly competition. The battle between local first responders will start on Sunday, July 14 and will end on Saturday, July 27.
Coastal Bend fire, police, sheriff, public safety, border patrol and other first responders will host blood drives during the last two weeks of July. All blood donors who participate will have the option to credit their donation towards Team Boots or Team Badges. The winner will be determined at the end of the two-week challenge and will be presented the traveling trophy at Whataburger Field, prior to the Corpus Christi Hook’s baseball game and earn ultimate bragging rights.
