Financial Donations
Valero Energy
Beginning in 2021, Valero Energy generously donated towards the creation and growth of the COVID Convalescent Plasma (CCP) Program. The Coastal Bend Blood Center was able to step up in the fight against the corona virus by initiating a program to draw plasma from people who had recovered from COVID-19. Since 2021, Valero has donated over $10,000 in fuel cards to help increase awareness and blood donations at various blood drives and promotions.
H-E-B
Beginning in 2021, H-E-B South Texas partnered with the Coastal Bend Blood Center to fully stock our canteen area for our amazing blood donors in the Coastal Bend. This sponsorship program ensures all donors have access to appropriate beverages & snacks for the preparation, safety and recovery. As of January 2022, H-E-B has renewed their canteen sponsorship & will also be contributing monetary funds towards our five large blood drives.
Port of Corpus Christi
Beginning in 2020, the Port of Corpus Christi partnered with the Coastal Bend Blood Center to help provide wonderful donor incentives & prizes for our large, quarterly blood drives. We are grateful for the monetary contributions the Port of Corpus Christi have donate to continue promoting saving lives in our community.
