COASTAL BEND BLOOD CENTER, First Place (Medium-sized Company)
The Corpus Christi Human Resource Management Association announced the winners for its “Best Places to Work” contest on January 18th at the ninth annual luncheon at the Congressman Solomon P. Ortiz International Center. A study commissioned by the association found each of the nine businesses excels in 37 different measurements including employee retention, turnover rates, employee training spending, benefits and retirement plans.

January is National Blood Donor Month
January has been designated as National Blood Donor Month (NBDM) to encourage donors to give or pledge to give blood. Join the Coastal Bend Blood Center in celebrating this month: recruit a new blood donor, schedule a blood drive or send a note of thanks to blood donors you know. Every effort will aid in making 2012 a lifesaving year in the Coastal Bend.
